What you'll need

  • High-powered blender — Smoothies, nut milks, and blended drinks without chunks.
  • Nut milk bag — Strain almond or oat milk to a clean, creamy finish.
  • Cold brew pitcher — Steep coarsely ground coffee in cold water overnight — no machine needed.

Instructions

  1. Steep the Earl Grey tea bags in 3/4 cup of boiling water for 4–5 minutes. For a stronger London Fog flavor, steep up to 6 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in a pinch of sea salt to smooth bitterness.
  2. If using lavender, add dried lavender to the steeping water along with the tea bags and remove with the bags.
  3. Stir the vanilla extract and vanilla simple syrup into the steeped tea.
  4. Heat the oat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming (do not boil). Froth using a handheld milk frother, French press, or steam wand until foamy.
  5. Pour the tea concentrate into a mug, then gently pour the frothed oat milk over it, holding back the foam with a spoon and then spooning the foam on top.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy hot.

FAQ

How do I make the organic vanilla simple syrup?

Combine 1/2 cup coconut sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Simmer until dissolved, add a split vanilla bean or 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, cool, and store refrigerated up to 2 weeks.

Can I make an iced London Fog?

Yes — brew a double-strength tea concentrate (use 2x tea, same water), let it cool, pour over ice, then top with cold oat milk and stir in the vanilla syrup.
